New Carers’ Café at Surbitonian Gardens Care Home

We’re delighted to introduce our brand-new Surbitonian Gardens Carers’ Café, a welcoming space where carers can relax, connect, and receive valuable support.

What to expect…

Caring for a loved one is both rewarding and challenging, and our Carers’ Café is designed to provide a much-needed break. Whether you’re looking to meet others in similar situations, enjoy a friendly chat over a cup of tea, or simply take some time for yourself, our café offers a supportive and understanding environment.

While carers take a well-earned break, our team will be on hand to look after their loved ones, who are welcome to join in one of our engaging activities, ensuring that both carers and those they support benefit from the experience.

Attendees will enjoy complimentary refreshments and access to useful resources in a friendly and relaxed setting.

When & where…

The first Surbitonian Gardens Carers’ Café will take place on Thursday 8th May 2025, 10:30am until 12:30pm at our Surbitonian Gardens Care Home:

Poppy Court,
Warwick Grove,
Kingston upon Thames,
United Kingdom,
KT5 8FF.

From then on, it will be on the second Thursday of every month.

Nicky, Resident Experience Manager at Surbitonian Gardens, said:

“We understand the incredible dedication that carers show every day, and we want to offer them a space where they feel valued and supported. The Carers’ Café is a place to unwind, share experiences, and connect with others who truly understand the challenges and joys of being a carer. Knowing their loved ones are well looked after and even enjoying an activity of their own makes this an even more valuable experience for everyone.”

We warmly invite all unpaid carers, family members, and friends supporting a loved one to join us for a moment of respite, connection, and appreciation for the incredible work that carers do every day.
